Chicago Police obtained a search warrant for Mr. H and his father’s apartment. During the search, packages methamphetamine and cannabis were found. At trial, I showed that the drugs found were not Mr. H’s. Through pictures taken of the apartment and the testimony of Mr. H’s brother, we showed that the drugs actually belonged to his father who was also operating a illegal candy store from the apartment. Not Guilty.

People v. Confidential 716

Firm Case Number: 2008-04-716
Possession of a Controlled Substance
DISMISSED
Maywood Courthouse

Maywood Police Officers claimed that they were conducting a surveillance of 333 S. 24th Avenue. The officers saw Mr. H drive up to the house, go into the house, and then leave. they pulled Mr. H over and then pulled a bag of heroin out of his mouth. I filed a motion to suppress because the officers had no probable cause to pull Mr. H over in the first place. The officers probably knew that they violated our client’s rights and never came to court. Case Dismissed.
