Chicago Police arrested Ms. C for having 157 grams of cannabis in her car. One of the arresting officers claimed that he could smell cannabis in our client’s car during the traffic stop. At a hearing, Attorney Mike Levinsohn showed the court that the police officer was lying and the evidence was suppressed. Case Dismissed.

Chicago Police arrested Mr. D after finding over 21,000 grams of cannabis in a home he shared with his father and sister. Mr. D’s sister took delivery of the cannabis from an undercover police officer. The sister’s boyfriend then arrived home Mr. D was helping the boyfriend open the boxes of cannabis when he was arrested. At trial I showed the judge that Mr. Doty did not know the contents of the boxes and therefore had no possession of the drugs. Not guilty.

Mr. D was accused of pushing his roommate down, choking him and ripping his sweater vest. At trial I proved that the roommate was recently served an eviction notice by our client and had a motive to lie. I showed the judge that our client acted in defense of his family after the roommate grabbed one of his kids. Finding of not guilty.

Mr. S was accused of smashing the windows of a Honda Civic, Ford Taurus, and an Acura Integra in the area of 511 Hamilton in Evanston. After negotiating with the State’s Attorney, we were able to get all of the charges dropped. The case was DISMISSED.
