University of Chicago Police claimed that Mr. M ran from them and tossed a gun into an empty lot near 61st and Cottage Grove. He was arrested 2 hours later on a CTA bus and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Attorney Levinsohn cross-examined the officers who gave conflicting testimony and showed that it was a case of mistaken identity.

Mr. M was accused of selling heroin in the area of 79th and Central Park. The Chicago Police claimed that Mr. Moore pulled up to a grey SUV in the area and conducted a hand to hand transaction. He was pulled over and the police found 15 foil packs of heroin. At a hearing on a motion to suppress, Attorney Levinsohn proved that the police did not have probable cause to stop Mr. M’s car based on their observations and the case was thrown out.

Chicago Police officers stopped and search our client near Indiana Avenue and 120th Street because they claim he was loitering in an area known for drug sales and they claimed that they felt a gun on him. At a motion to suppress evidence I proved that the officer was lying about feeling a gun. The judge agreed that there was no reason to go in his pockets and the case was Dismissed.
