DISMISSED
Bridgeview Courthouse

Chicago Police received a call of a household member with a gun making threats. Several hours later officers went to the home near 99th and State and spoke to Mr. B’s auntie who told them her brother had a gun. Without permission the officers went into Mr. B’s bedroom and found a gun and a bulletproof vest. At a motion to suppress, the officers claimed that the room was open and they found the gun in “plain view.” I went to the house, took pictures and proved that the officers lied. The gun was not in “plain view” because the door was covered with a blanket. Motion granted. Case dismissed.
