Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon
First Time Gun Offender Probation – no conviction
Bridgeview Courthouse 104
While on patrol in the area of 1524 W. 94th Street, Chicago Police officers Huberts and Gualdron saw our client talking to other people in the street blocking traffic. When the officers approached they saw a gun in his left pants pocket. The gun turned out to be a 380 Rugger with 7 live rounds. He was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon which is normally a non-probationable felony. Our office put together a mitigation packet and convinced the state’s attorney to give him first time weapon offender probation. This probation lasts for 18 months and is not a conviction and is expungeable.
