Chicago Police officers claimed that Mr. L was in the alley near Chicago and Springfield with another person selling heroin. A trial I argued to the judge that the officers did not see Mr. L sell drugs. That the officers lied when they claimed that he got the drugs from a bag in the alley. Finding of Not Guilty.

People v. Confidential 837

Case Number: 2012-26-837
Armed Habitual Criminal
NOT GUILTY
26th & California, Chicago

Chicago Police officers responded to shots fired. They saw Mr. H and Mr. Morales walking in the area of 25th Place and Kedvale. They claimed that Mr. H handed a gun to Mr. Morales just as a police car pulled up to within 10 feet of them. At a jury trial Attorney Levinsohn showed that the officers lied. I subpoenaed Mr. Morales into court to testify that he had the gun the whole time. I also proved that the officer searched Mr. Morales and Mr. H all of the time. The jury did not believe the officers. Finding of Not Guilty.

The police claimed that once the officers got out of their car, walked over and were standing next to Mr. M that Mr. M then threw a gun into an open glove compartment.
