Ms. W and her cousin were accused of beating up the complaining witness with the heels of their shoes outside of the Shrine Nightclub. At trial, Attorney Levinsohn showed that the complainant was lying in order to help her civil law suit against the nightclub. At trial we also showed the judge that the complaining witness improperly used Facebook to try to identify Ms. W. In the end, the complaining witness was inconsistent and not believable. Finding of NOT GUILTY

Chicago Police Officers were working in a deployment action zone in the area of a recent shooting. Officers claimed that when they saw Mr. R they recognized him as a gang member. They stopped and questioned him without probable cause. He then admitted that he had ammunition on him which the officers recovered. I proved to the judge that the search was unlawful and the evidence was suppressed. Case dismissed.

Chicago Police Officers pulled over a vehicle in the area of State and 75th Street. Mr. B was a passenger. During the stop the driver gave officers permission to search the car. The officers did not have permission to search Mr. B’s suitcase in the trunk. The officers went into the suitcase and found two .380 semi-automatic pistols. At a motion to suppress, I proved to the judge that the offices did not have permission to search the suitcase on a simple traffic stop and the guns were suppressed. Case dismissed.

The complainant claimed that Mr. M hit him in the face and throat with a closed fist. The police, however, were unable to see any injury. At trial I was able to show that the complaining witness was the aggressor and lied about being punched. Finding of Not Guilty.

Palos Hills Police arrested our client for pushing, punching and choking his girlfriend. During my investigation of the case, I found out that the girlfriend gave conflicting accounts of what happened. Also officers did not report seeing any injury to the girlfriend. Case Dismissed.
