Unlawful Use of a Weapon
Case Dismissed
26th & California, Chicago
Chicago Police claimed that they received a call of a person with a gun at the residence of Mr. A. Officers also claimed to have obtained consent to search the apartment from Mr. A’s roommate. The officers recovered a sawed off shotgun from Mr. A’s bedroom. I filed a motion to suppress based on the fact that the roommate could not give the police permission to search another person’s room. The judge agreed and the case was dismissed.
